What are BTS, and how did they rise to popularity?
BTS is a seven-member South Korean boy band, consisting of V (RM), Jungkook (Jeon Jeong-guk), J-Hope (Jung Ho Seok), Jin (RM), Suga (Min Yoon Gi), Jimin (RM), and J-Hope. BTS debuted on June 13, 2013, with their single titled Song Byeong Scene. Their first EP, Made In Mall, was released on September 18, 2013, and their first official MV was aired on August 31, 2014.
BTS is considered one of the most popular K-pop groups, and they have been nominated for several MTV EMA Awards, including the Best K-pop Group. BTS has sold over 10 million albums and over 40 million singles in Korea, and they have won many music awards, including two MTV EMA Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, one QQ Music Awards, one Radio Music Awards, one Billboard Korea Music Awards, and three Melon Music Awards.
